a beautiful wedding up on mount hood…resort at the mountain…{portland oregon wedding photographer}
March 12, 2012Hi to all my beautiful followers! I realize I am so bad at blogging, but I am slowly getting better if you can’t tell. I’m trying anyways. I always want to share all my pictures but get so busy that the blogging comes last. Well here is an attempt to remedy that situation…. I had the amazing privilege to shoot this wedding up on Mount Hood this summer with the dear Lindsay. Weddings in our beautiful area, just blow me away. We are so lucky to live here in Oregon, even though we do get rained on a lot. But hey, we have the mountain and we have the beaches so I don’t complain! We were blessed with some gorgeous weather, and all kinds of love surrounding these 2 amazing people. C and A got married at the gorgeous The Resort at The Mountain and the weather couldn’t’ have been more perfect. From start to finish, there was smiles and emotions. I couldn’t quit taking pictures….even though I wanted to munch on s’mores all night. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you look through the pictures.
nothing like beautiful fall leaves and an adorable family….{vancouver, washington and portland, oregon family photographer}
November 11, 2011we couldn’t have had more beautiful fall colors than this. we all said that a day earlier or a day later, couldn’t even have compared to this beauty we were blessed with. as you can see, the colors are stunning and so are the people. i adore these four, not just because they are loyal clients, not just because he is the best dentist ever (check him out if you are in need of a dentist SERIOUSLY!), not just because they are beatiful, but really just because they are some of the most amazing people i know. genuine, kind, full of love and respect for each other, and their kids are just adored more than i could ever put into words.
and of course….another gentle reminder….we are running out of time for christmas pictures. don’t miss out! get ahold of me today. i have regular sessions and mini sessions available. hope to have your beautiful family in front of my camera soon.
xoxo jen
you know someone….you do…..{portland or and vancouver wa photographer}
November 20, 2009Last year I was honored to be able to give back a little for Giving is Awesome. This was the winner last year and she was so deserving and thankful. I knew I had to do it again this year so I am really excited to announce this years.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $950 worth, to be exact. A session and a high res digital negative cd with print release will be awarded to the deserving winner.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $100 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in the greater Portland, Oregon area. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story : jenifer@polkadotphotography.net BY December 20th!!!
The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
With love,
Jenifer

Because this is my best friend she has to wait to see all of her pictures til I am caught up after this computer fiasco. So I have to post a few on here for her to see. Shot these while in Central Oregon (Redmond to be exact) of my best friend Cori and her sweet and handsome boyfriend Brandon. Oh and I of course can’t forget to mention their babies….fur babies that is. I love their dogs and their fat furry kitties. Love me some fat cats like you can’t even imagine. I am not an animal photographer or claim to be good at taking animal photos but have been having more and more clients bring their dogs along to sessions lately. It has actually been really fun with the dogs. Now getting a cat to look at you though, that is next to impossible. I think we managed ok though.

Cori: Amazing job jen and maybe you should go into animal photography. You did amazing job capturing my babies :O)
Brandi: Cute kids!
Joni Kuntz: Great pictures Jen. You do an amazing job.. Thank you for posting.
Amber: Your bff is gorgeous! These pictures are great Jen! I love the kitty cats. :)
No computer….but….
October 24, 2009Just a quick little post with good news! I have been battling a broken screen on my iMac for almost two months now. 5 trips to apple (actually more I think) and three screens later it still was broken. Two weeks ago they finally said they would replace it. I got a phone call yesterday that it was in and they replaced it with a brand new vs that just came out this week and they suped it up. I’m giddy to get it today but not looking forward to the backlog of work because of it. Things will return to normal soon yipee!!!
Just one to share really really quickly. I still have a ton and a ton of weddings and portrait sessions to blog. Finish my new wedding site and design christmas cards. Life is crazy but I will try and blog more soon!
P.S. session for fall/christmas are filling up very quickly. There are still a few left so grab one before its gone. You can view my calendar by going to my site and then emailing me with your date.
xoxo
