Lots of important things to say right now.

First, I got the new computer and have been up till crazy times in the early am every night getting caught up so want to thank all of you for your patience. You guys are the greatest!

Next, I technically only have one date left through the end of the year for a session and am going to really try to stick to that. Please don’t make me have to turn you away. Get ahold of me soon if want pictures before the end of the year.

Next (yes more), I will be out of town this weekend through wednesday the 4th doing shoots in Idaho and visiting my brand new baby niece! Emails might be delayed so if you have an immediate need, please call me.

and more……ORDERING DEADLINE for ALL prints and christmas cards is NOVEMBER 15th. NO exceptions. I wish to spend the holidays with my family and not running around like a chicken with my head cut off like last year.  (0;  xoxo to all of you for understanding.

almost done…I found out today that some of the emails I sent from my phone over the last few days were not sent.  I need to go through them but if you didnt get a response from me in the last few days please shoot me another msg.

and lastly (i think) here is a new set of cards. I am so using one of these for ours because they are soooo me. Let me know if you want to order christmas cards. I also have lots more if you dont like this set or the last one.

Writing this post brings me to tears. I have known that I would be writing about this for a few months now and couldn’t bring myself to do it until I read a blog post from Jessica. You see Jessica is a client of mine. An old friend that I actually have knows since high school. She found me online and booked me for her belly photos when she was pregnant with sweet Nicholas. I could go on and on about what a sweet and amazing person Jessica is and I mean this with every bone in my body. She allowed me to capture their family from the beginning and I have been doing just that for the last year and a half. I consider myself so incredibly blessed to have this be my job but even more so when we got the news of sweet Nicholas.

You can read Jessica’s blog post here to get the full story and her version would be way better than mine. Jessica found out just a few weeks before his 1 year session that Nicholas had SMA. A genetic disorder that means their time with their sweet baby boy would be cut short. I cry as I even type this and can’t even begin to grasp what they are going through and cannot even begin to comprehend. Just recently though some new information has come forth that could mean a cure for SMA in Nicholas’s lifetime.

I am doing a fundraiser for them for their friends but also wanted to reach out to my blog readers and ask for help. Any amount….I mean any….even if it is just $5 would make such a difference. I challenge every one of you to take at least $5 and donate it to this amazing amazing cause that could potentially save this sweet boy. You can read Jessica’s post here that explains it all. If you donate please leave a comment on this post and let me know. I would love to see all the people that do it.

If you would like to make a donation in Nicholas’s name, you can click on this link:http://UniteForTheCure.com/Donate/ It explains all the directions for donating via credit card and by check. To make a donation via credit card you will go to this page and then click on the green donate button, which will then take you to the Families of SMA donation page specifically set up for Unite For The Cure. Please remember to write Gustafson Family” in the “Message” section, so that they can keep track of their goal. For checks, please make checks payable to “Families of SMA” and be sure to write “Unite For The Cure/Gustafson” in the MEMO on the check, so that this donation goes specifically to the Unite For The Cure campaign and to our overall goal. You can mail checks to:

Michele: most beautiful baby I know!! these photos are fantastic!!

brienne: Love these Jen! Beautiful!!

Trina Jaynes: These are awesome, Jen...some of your best, I think! Love the little wooden thing he is in....

This is Shannon’s sweet little niece so on our California trip she let me tag along for her newborn session. We went to a beautiful beach in Laguna Beach where everyone said hi and asked how your day was.  Such a different feel than the Los Angeles crowd LOL.  Anyways little M wanted to stay awake, but we tricked her into sleeping for  a bit. I am officially in love with the beach but do not enjoy the sand that covers every centimeter of my equipment after the shoot is done with. I think it was worth it though since she is pretty stinkin adorable.

brienne: nice basket :)

Remember this little one? Well she is here again at 3 months.  Probably my easiest three month old chubba chubba yet. You are not going to believe it but she fell asleep in a basket, in the front yard, with a large audience of neighbors, neighborhood kids, a car alarm going off, and  a lawnmower running across the street.  But here is proof that I am not lying.

Faithe Lourraine: Your are totally amazing <3! I love it.

Emma Easley Darden: I'd like those eyes, and cheeks too. Oh, and the grass would be brilliant as well. It's all too cute!

Kacy Jo: These are friggin adorable, you are the baby queen!

I have people begging to see these so I better post these.  My little sweet baby turned 2 so we went out and did a little photoshoot.  I am one lucky to mom to have such handsome boys.  Jack Jack is so sweet. He snuggles and smooches and tells me he loves me. He is all boy though so don’t let me fool you. The kid jumps off of anything head first. He falls down and laughs, he hits his head and laughs, he gets bumps and bruised and yes he still laughs. Totally tougher than tough and beats up his 8 year old brother on a daily basis.  It is quite hilarious.  Oh and the shaggy surfer hair finally got cut because some moron lady told me what a pretty girl he was so it doesnt look like this anymore {tear}.

All the clothes are from Knuckleheads who have the most oh so adorable clothes for boys. I heart them and they are local too which is awesome.

This is his adorable 2 year birthday invites. I sell at ton of press printed cards to my clients so I of course take my own advice and do them for my kids as well. They are always a huge huge hit and I always see them stuck to fridges months later.  At your next session be sure to ask me to bring some samples so I can show you them in person!

Jessica: So cute! Love the vinatge look! Good job, mama!

Kip: Gorgeous boy and I LOVE that location! Congrats.

Anne Hansen: I am loving the new photos, and very jealous of all your cool locations.

So I bet you have been wondering where I have been. Well I know most of you have because I get emails and whenever I see someone they hound me about my blog.LOL.  So hello everyone. I promise I was gone for a very very good reason. The day after I got back from my LA trip I was in the ER and couldn’t walk at all. I got a bad staph infection on the back of my knee, really deep and had to have my leg cut into more times than I care to count. 20 days on the highest dose of antibiotics )which I get violently ill from might I add) and then the last month and a half with a gaping hole in my leg (which I still have by the way) prevented me from being able to sit at the computer for longer than five minutes. It is finally gone as of last week though and I have way too many sessions to share to do each individually.  I hope to post a few photos each day to hopefully get my caught up. I still have about five weddings I havent blogged about either so those will come too. For now here are just a tiny tiny few of photos that I have done over the last month or two. I have soooooo busy so much much more to come.  ALSO I AM NOW BOOKING FOR SUMMER.  Spaces are filling fast so contact me now if you are interested in having photos this summer.
